Hargeisa (ANN)-The National Electoral Commission (NEC) has concluded a review and evaluation meeting of the Somaliland presidential elections and the national parties held on 13 November 2024 in the country.
The evaluation and review meeting of the elections opened on November 26 at Safari Hotel in Boorama, members of the National Electoral Commission (NEC), employees of the various departments of the NEC, heads of the Electoral Committees at the Regional and District Levels and members of the Organizations Operating Committee (Taskforce) . /Plotical Parties and representatives from the Netherlands Multi-Party Institute for Democracy (NMID).
Accoding to brefing NEC, During the conference, the focus was on evaluation of the election process and the most important processes and plans of the elections implemented; Analysis was made on the challenges that occurred and advice on how to prevent the future of Somaliland Elections.
Also Future Development,  Tips on strengthening election plans and processes for transparent and modern elections.
The result of the meeting was that the lessons learned and the knowledge gained from the previous elections can be used in the upcoming elections that are expected to be held in Somaliland.

Based on these issues, it was finally recommended how to improve the plans and the process of elections in Somaliland in the future in order to hav an efficient and modern election.

Somaliland is committed to continue the elections and democracyprocess, which earns the trust of the community, with the Somaliland Elections as a good examplein the Horn of Africa region, at the same time showing the maturity of democracy and the process that has attracted the attention of the world.
