Background

HRM is fully licensed and internationally insured, is an accredited member of the International Code of Conduct Association (ICoCA), and internationally accredited to ISO 18788:2015, ISO 9001:2015, and ANSI/ASIS PSC.1:2022 quality standards for security risk management companies.

 

Scope of Position

The property is the newest and only five-star hotel in Somaliland, located in Hargeisa. Managed by a leading hotel chain with over 135 hotels in 85 destinations globally.  

The scope of a Security Guard position involves various responsibilities aimed at protecting property, assets, people, and ensuring the safety of an environment.

 

 

 

 

Job Summary:

Guest and Property Protection:

Monitor the hotel premises to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and visitors.

Ensure the protection of the hotel’s assets, equipment, and property.

Regularly inspect the hotel’s public areas and back-of-house facilities to prevent unauthorized access.

Surveillance:

If required, you will check and operate CCTV cameras covering all areas of the hotel.

Respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies.

Conduct routine security checks of the hotel’s perimeter, entrances, and sensitive areas.

Guest Interaction:

Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing assistance as needed.

Maintain a discreet and approachable presence to ensure guests feel safe and comfortable.

Escort high-profile guests when required, offering additional support during their stay.

If you find a suspicious item and you do not have the owner, check the item and submit it to your authority.

Emergency Response:

Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or security threats.

Assist in evacuations and coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.

Handle any emergency or security-related incidents according to established protocols.

 

 

 

 

Access Control:

Monitor and control access to the hotel by verifying credentials and screening visitors and employees.

Ensure the proper handling of guest and employee vehicles in parking areas.

Incident Reporting:

Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, security breaches, or any unusual occurrences.

Prepare incident reports and communicate security matters to the management team effectively.

To identify and report anything you suspect, be it a person, product, or vehicle that may pose a security risk. This person or item that you suspect will be followed by a system of awareness and response to the alarm system

Patrolling:

Perform routine foot patrols to detect and report potential hazards or security breaches.

Maintain vigilance for suspicious behavior and address any concerns promptly.

Protecting or patrolling the designated areas: You must always be aware of the designated areas and patrol every hour by doing the following steps.

Any other tasks assigned by the line manager.
