Somaliland Forgein Minister meets Norwegian Parliamentarians and UNHCR in Geneva

Oslo (ANN) Somaliland Forgein Minister Mohamed Bihi Yonis and Ambassador Sulub Hussain, Somaliland’s Representative in Norway, met Norwegian Parliamentarians Hekki Holmas and Slyvi Graham in Oslo (first picture). In his trip in Norway where he previously met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister Yonis also met Oslo Mayoral candidate Raymond Johansen (second picture). He discussed strengthen relations between Somaliland and Norway’s Parliament’s, development support and potential bilateral trade issues.

Minister Yonis then traveled to Geneva, Switzerland where he met high levels officials at UNHCR including Mr. Valentin Tapsoba, Regional Director of UNHCR’s Africa Bureau and his team (third photo). Minister Yonis discussed the Yemen refugee crisis and its impact on Somaliland, increasing support to Somaliland to manage the increasing numbers of refugees and IDPs, and expanding UNHCR’s operations in Somaliland.”
