#Somaliland: Deputy Foreign Minister Meets New UAE Ambassador

#Hargeisa(ANN)-The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Somaliland, Liban Yousuf Osman, today held an hour-long meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Somaliland, Abdalla Alnaqbi.

Mr. Liban Yousuf Osman, in a short statement on his Twitter account, said, “I had a fruiful discussions with the #UAE Representative to the Rep of #Somaliland, Hon.#Alnaqbi,The introductory meeting was aimed to strengthen the bilateral beneficial relationship btw the two brotherly nations.#MFA will work hand in hand with the New #UAE Rep office in Hargeisa.”

The Deputy Minister did not elaborate on the issues discussed by Ambassador Abdalla Alnaqbi, but noted that the meeting was a prelude to discussions on bilateral relations.

Ambassador Abdalla Alnaqbi, Senior Diplomat of the United Arab Emirates presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Somaliland, HE Muse Bihi Abdi, on Saturday 13/03/12021, at the Presidential Palace, where he received on his credentials new UAE diplomat.

The UAE has made the largest investment in the international port of Berbera, costing nearly half a million dollars, and has also implemented health and other social assistance projects in Somaliland cities.
