Hargeysa(ANN)- The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi and a delegation led by him, left for the United States of America on Saturday.
The President is accompanied on his visit to Washington by a large delegation of ministers, businessmen, and other members.
The visit of the President of Somaliland, following an invitation from the United States, was accompanied by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Issa Kayd; Interior, Mohamed Kahin Ahmed; Information, Saleban Ali Koore; Trade, Mohamed Hassan Sajin; and Environment, Shukri Isma’il Bondare.
A delegation also includes prominent Somaliland businessmen, such as Mohamed Said Du’ale (Dahabshiil), Abdikarim Mohamed Eid, Mohamed Said Gedii, and the Chairman of the Hargeisa Cultural Center, Jama Muse Jama.
The President’s delegation, which left Egal International Airport today, arrived in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, where they will proceed to the United States.

It is also noteworthy that the president’s delegation includes a group of journalists working in the office of the president of Somaliland.
President Bihi and his delegation have not been informed of the purpose of his trip and scheduled meetings, and there has been no word from his office.
It is also unknown how long the trip will take the President and his delegation.
However, there are unconfirmed reports that the President and his delegation will meet with senior Washington officials during their stay in the United States.
