Somali Prime Minister condemns Lido barbaric attack

Mogadishu(ANN)The Prime Minister of Federal Republic of Somalia H.E. Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke has unreservedly condemned the barbaric attack on Liido Beach Restaurant yesterday evening carried out by the terrorist group Al Shabab. PM Sharmarke has once again reiterated that his government will not be deterred neither swayed by this in their fight to eliminate and eradicate the remnants of the terrorist group.

PM Sharmarke stated that this kind of savage attacks on densely populated civilian areas demonstrates the terrorist group are on the verge of annihilation thus embarking on desperate attacks to cause mayhem and confusion. Hence the Prime Minister urged the public to remain calm and at the same time be vigilant.

“It is apparently clear that these barbaric attacks carried out by the terrorist Al Shabab is against the socio-development and Somalia to exist as a Nation, but let it remain clear that it will not hamper the commitment of my Government and that of our people to resurrect Somalia with the help of Allah SWT” said Prime Minister Sharmarke.

“ With deep sadness and profound humility I sent my condolences and that of my Government to the Somali people in general and in particular to the families who lost loved and dear ones, and pray to Allah SWT to grant forgiveness and Jannah to the deceased and the families the strength to withstand this great loss. I also pray for the quick recovery of those injured” said the Prime Minister. In conclusion PM Sharmarke praised the gallant forces and Security forces who saved many lives and limited the damage intended by the savage terrorist group.
