Yemeni Prime Minister Discusses Riyadh Agreement with STC Delegation

Riyadh(ANN)-Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed has held a meeting with the chairman and members of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) within framework of continuous efforts to implement a mechanism to accelerate Riyadh Agreement.

Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber, who is also Supervisor of the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed challenges and obstacles facing the implementation of the agreement’s mechanism.

They agreed a set of solutions, including a continuation of consultations to form a government of political competencies, bringing the military forces out of Aden and repositioning all military forces to war fronts. These solutions will contribute to provide services and overcome the economic, security and military challenges.

The Yemeni Prime minister and the STC delegation praised efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for achieving security and peace in Yemen and the region.

For his part, the Saudi ambassador praised keenness of all parties on implementing Riyadh Agreement and its acceleration mechanism in order to support security, stability and development in Yemen.
