Putin addresses supporters at mass rally in Moscow

Moscow(ANN)-Around 130,000 supporters of Russian President Vladimir Putin have held a rally dubbed “For a Strong Russia” at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, ahead of the upcoming presidential election.

 

“We have clear, noble goals. We want to make our country bright and future-oriented,” said the Russian leader in an address to the crowd.

“Instead of us and except for us, no one will do this, but if we do this, the next decades, the whole of the 21st century will pass under the sign of our bright victories,” he added.

After giving the speech, Putin sang the Russian anthem alongside his supporters.

Russia holds its presidential election on March 18.
