Paris: In France, which revived racism, three immigrants were killed

Paris (ANN)-Riots have overshadowed Paris after a shooting in the city center on Friday that killed at least three migrants and wounded several others, according to French prosecutors.

A shooting that took place in the center of Paris is an example of the racism in France that has come out again, as thousands of people who are angry about this horrible act have gathered in Paris.

“There are three dead, one person in intensive care and two people with serious injuries, and the suspect, who was arrested, has also been injured, notably to the face,” a prosecutor told reporters at the scene. Officials had initially announced two deaths and four injuries, including two in critical condition.

They later raised the death toll to three. “An investigation has been opened for murder, voluntary manslaughter and aggravated violence,” prosecutors said, adding that the suspected gunman was a man in his 60s. Officials have not released further information on the suspect.

But according to French media reports, the alleged shooter is a “Caucasian” French national who had attacked a migrant center a year ago and just came out of prison this month.

French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said that he will go to the scene of the shooting that targeted immigrants, as the person who did the shooting was confirmed to have committed acts of hatred against immigrants in the past.
