Washington (ANN)-Donald Trump selected J.D. Vance, a Republican US senator from Ohio, as his running mate on Monday, elevating a politician who once criticized the former president in acid terms but has since become one of his most stalwart defenders.

The news, carried on Trump’s Truth Social media website, emerged at the start of the four-day Republican National Convention in Milwaukee to nominate the party’s presidential ticket.

The selection of James David Vance, author of the bestselling memoir “Hillbilly Elegy,” could increase the odds of Trump supporters turning out for the Nov. 5 election as the Ohio native is deeply popular with the Republican candidate’s base.

Trump, who is entering a tough competition with the current President Biden of the Democratic Party of the United States, is in Milwaukee for the RNC. His campaign is to choose the Vice President, J.D. Vance, a Republican senator from Ohio, before receiving party ticket for the 2024 race late Thursday.

David Vance, was one of the names of several candidates drawn that it is important for Trump to choose the Vice President in the November election. The signs of political commentators prove that Trump has changed the election, because Ohio, where David Vance is from, has a large library for victory, the same penalty that is one of the core regions of the US presidential election.

Politicians predicted to be Trump’s choice for Vice President include Senator Marco Rubio of Florida and Senator JD Vance of Ohio.

Also, other leading figures in the Senate, including Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Tim Scott of South Carolina House Speaker Mike Johnson, House Speaker Steve Scalise, Representative Matt Gaetz and Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, who gave speeches at a Trump King 2024 presidential rally, but Trump, he nomineted Senator JD Vance from Ohio.
