Addis Ababa (ANN)- Djibouti’s Foreign Minister Mahmoud is the next Africa union commission  (AUC) chairperson for the 2025–2029 term.

Kenyan politicians Raila Oding has received 22 votes. Djibouti Foreign Minister Yoursemouf had 26 votes.

The former Madagascar foreign minister Richard James was removed from the race after the third round.
