Hargeisa (ANN)-The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, has called on the administration of President Joe Biden not to forget the importance and strategy of Somaliland, and said that the most important principle of President Joe Biden’s foreign policy is cooperation with like-minded, democratic partners, and share goals.
“There no greater need for this United States today than for this new strategy, as conflicts continues to escalate or escalate around the world.” said President Bihi.
“Somaliland can be particularly helpful to other democracies such as the United States in addressing regional crises that could significantly undermine its strategic interests.”
The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi, stated this in a lengthy article published in the popular “Newsweek” magazine from the United States.
He also spoke about the dangers of political infighting, ethnic tensions and armed conflict in the south and west that he said had already crossed the border, and described them as a threat to regional stability and the lives of innocent civilians.
President Bihi, meanwhile, speaking to the north, pointed to freedom of shipping and military routes from the Suez Canal and the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and beyond, where he said more than 10 percent cross daily World trade.
However, he noted in the statement the threat of global traffic along the Suez Canal and the Red Sea to the Gulf, which he said posed a threat to the conflict in the entire Gulf of Aden and the growing Chinese military presence in our neighborhood.
The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, also described the stages that Somaliland has gone through and its history, noting the strategic importance to the world and the peace, stability, development and democracy in the country. But the world has not yet recognized Somaliland’s independence.
