Djibouti (ANN) -The people of Djibouti went to the polling stations today to elect President Ismail Omar Gelleh who is running for the fifth time.
He is not facing any challenge but there is a candidate he said he is running against, which is businessman Zakaria Ismail Farah.

Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections on April 9, 2021. They say the election will not be free and fair.Gelleh’s rival reportedly refused to cast his ballot in today’s vote. Zakaria complains about the way the election team was treated.
