#Somalia, Mogadishu (ANN)-The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has been called upon to ‘ensure justice for Abdirashid Janan, who is accused of committing human rights abuses’, after he  to have fallen into the hands of the government today.

Former Minister of Security of the Jubbaland State of Somalia, Abdirashid Hassan Abdinur (Janan), was welcomed in Beled Hawo district in Geddo region today.

Mr. abdiarshid janan “aka”, was welcomed by the outgoing government ministers of Farmajo, who took him from Najax area on the outskirts of Beled-hawo district, accompanied by military vehicles and a large number of troops.

However, Amnesty International has called on the Federal Government of Somalia to bring to justice Abdirashid Janan, who is accused of human rights abuses in the Gedo region, and to bring him to justice.

“Now that Abdirashid Janan has fallen into the hands of the Federal Government of Somalia, government officials must ensure that justice and accountability for the alleged human rights violations [in Janan] in the Gedo region are met. Victims and families of victims deserve justice, ”Amnesty International said in a statement.
