Abdi Abdullahi Author of the book: Citizenship and Governance Somaliland” Launch in Burco on April 11, 2025.

Objectives of the book:

The Somaliland community is composed of various clans, and it was during the 1991 Burco conference that these clans united to establish the government of the Republic of Somaliland. However, clan influence remains strong, and the previous political system was based on clan arrangements. It is essential to move beyond this to become a cohesive nation that fosters development.

I believe this book serves as a guide for the community to transcend the old political system based on clan affiliations, steering us toward governance, nationhood, and unity. This transformation is crucial for achieving the progress and prosperity we aspire to.
