Sonalland; We must redirect our focus toward urgent humanitarian efforts.

Our communities in most rural areas of Somaliland today are facing an urgent and critical water crisis, particularly in rural areas where the devastating effects of famine are becoming alarmingly apparent. Thousands of families, along with their livestock, are battling for survival as the conditions continue to deteriorate. In these regions, the lack of access to clean water exacerbates hunger, leading to malnutrition and illness, particularly among children and the elderly.

Rather than channeling essential resources into extravagant expenditures like opulent invitations and lavish celebrations within government circles, it is crucial that we redirect our focus toward urgent humanitarian efforts. Specifically, we should prioritize the deployment of water tankers to the most severely affected regions, where the need for clean water is both dire and immediate. These tankers can deliver life-sustaining supplies of potable water to communities grappling with the devastating effects of drought or contamination. By ensuring access to safe drinking water, we can significantly reduce the risk of health crises, such as cholera and other waterborne diseases, which often emerge in the wake of inadequate water sources. This response not only addresses the immediate needs of those struggling for survival but also promotes long-term public health and resilience in the face of future challenges.

We must collectively tighten our belts and concentrate our efforts and resources on alleviating the suffering in the famine-stricken areas of specific villages. The dire situation calls for urgent intervention, as millions are grappling with severe food shortages, malnutrition, and the threat of starvation. Ensuring access to clean water is not simply a luxury; it is a fundamental necessity that can significantly enhance the quality of life and survival chances for those in distress. Each day without safe drinking water exacerbates health issues, leading to the spread of diseases such as cholera and dysentery, which further compromise the well-being of vulnerable populations, especially children.

By taking decisive action now—whether through humanitarian aid, infrastructure development, or community support initiatives—we can help restore dignity and hope to countless individuals facing the harsh realities of this crisis. Together, we have the power to implement sustainable solutions that address both immediate needs and long-term resilience. Let us commit to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who are enduring unimaginable hardships.

The livestock sector, which is the backbone of our economy, is currently facing a critical situation that demands urgent attention. With rising feed costs, outbreaks of disease, and diminishing pastureland due to climate change, many Villagers are struggling to maintain their herds. This not only threatens their livelihoods but also impacts our food supply and rural communities. Therefore, the government must take immediate and decisive action to support this vital industry.
